The sun is shining and my raspberries are starting to sprout!

We moved into this house in March 2021 and I was really excited to see a nice, mature Raspberry bush in the garden. By the end of the summer, I had a wonderful yield of 2.5kgs. My partner cut the plant back and I was concerned that he had clipped too much off, BUT I am pleased to announce that the plant is still thriving ! It’s covered in fresh new green leaves and is starting to bud. I am expecting good things this year, and a brand new batch of homemade raspberry jam.

This Year, I am also intending to make some more plum and apple jam using locally and organically grown plums and apples and some more black currant and blackberry jam. I shall also venture into the world of Strawberries.
